Harry Reid Wants To Outlaw Brothels In Nevada

Regarding an article on Las Vegas Review Journal: http://www.lvrj.com/news/reid-urges-nevada-to-outlaw-prostitution-116672729.html

Harry Reid amazes me with his logic. Reid believes that if we want to get people back to work we need to close down 24 businesses by outlawing legal brothels.

Let’s call it was it is, Reid wants to make voluntary trade between two adults illegal. He wants to waste tax money jailing people for crimes with no victims. It is working out great for the drug war. Not allowing two people to voluntary trade goods or services is a complete slap in the face to a free market. The more the State uses the initiation of force to stop consenting adults from voluntary trade, the more that market goes underground. This leads to higher prices, more crime, less jobs and no business accountability.

Give em hell Harry! If everyone waited to get married before engaging in sex the world would be a far better place and this is something that no one can deny!

Good for Harry. I guess he figures that since he’s in his last term and has nothing to lose, he can finally get around to doing the right thing. Why has it taken him so long?

I’m not sure what world you live in, but I am in fact denying the fact that the world would be a better place if we allowed more intervention in the personal affairs of others by the State and organized religion. In reality – it is immoral to initiate the use of force against people who are voluntary trading in a free market. Morality is not based on what some invisible man in the sky is looking down judging people for.

The initiation of force used against anyone who is voluntarily trading and not initiating force on another, is immoral. It is in by no means “the right thing.”

Why get rid of this industry? Would Harry Reid rather it be pushed even more into a black market? This country was founded on liberty and free markets yet people (especially the State) try to stop two people from making a voluntary trade. If you believe in freedom and liberty, you have to believe in it for every single person, there is no middle ground.
