Bill Introducted Plans to Outlaw Free Speech Against Public Officials

From an article at: http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/136895-dem-planning-bill-that-would-outlaw-threatening-lawmakers

Rep. Robert Brady (D-Pa.) reportedly plans to introduce legislation that would make it a federal crime to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening or inciting violence against a federal official or member of Congress.

I assume “perceived” is similar to the excuse given to spy on Americans – through the perceived threat of terrorism.  These are dangerous words of a tyrant this man is spewing.  I first want to ask, who the hell does he think he is?  To say that we, as free human beings can’t express our disgust for the people in our government that have no real thoughts in their brain about what actually creates a free society.  They care nothing about our years of FAILED economic and foreign policies and try to latch onto anything they can to attempt to make you safe.

Are we to say that the founders of our country that fought tooth and nail for freedom against a tyrant, to be able to build a free society, are criminals and should be in a Federal prison?  Is Rep. Robert Brady actually saying that the early revolutionaries in this country that burnt King George III in effigy should be jailed for protesting and speaking out?  The same people that fought to give him the very right he has to stand up in front of our country and spew this unconstitutional bill from his vile lips?

“The president is a federal official,” Brady told CNN in a telephone interview. “You can’t do it to him; you should not be able to do it to a congressman, senator or federal judge.”

Why – because you said so?  Go to hell.  Shame on all of these news organizations and politicians who are taking this horrible, isolated tragedy and exploiting it to apply more rules, regulations and to use it as political attacks against opponents.

“You can’t put bull’s-eyes or crosshairs on a United States congressman or a federal official,” he said.”The rhetoric is just ramped up so negatively, so high, that we have got to shut this down,” Brady said.

Right, you can’t put “bull’s-eyes or crosshairs” on a United States congressman, federal official or a citizen for that matter.  I think that’s pretty well understood.  You can’t openly go around and threaten peoples lives and say you are going to kill them with the actual intent to do so.  The line that you attempt to draw is seriously vague, Mr. Brady – criticizing an official is not even in the same range as threatening to kill someone.

It’s my understanding that many CITIZENS express concern and nothing was done about it.  The police stopped by and apparently spoke with the shooter, but nothing was done.  Actually, the only thing that was done was by the citizens who saw a real threat and said something, all without the government being involved.

Limiting freedoms will not stop the problems associated with a broken society.  It’s times like these we must come together, not point fingers.  Break yourselves from your Democrat/Republican chains and think for yourselves.  These two parties make it impossible to agree on petty domestic issues while destroying our c0untry with the same failed economic and foreign policies that NEVER change.
